Adult Group Visits

Preserving, and indeed increasing, the 27 horses at the Hollesley Bay is extremely important to the long term survival of the Suffolk breed. It is the largest and oldest Suffolk Punch stud having been at Hollesley for over 100 years. It provides breeding services to owners of Suffolk mares throughout the UK.

Other pages of this website show that the Trust has ambitious plans to create an education and heritage centre with clearly defined visitor attractions which will in turn generate the income to pay the operational costs.

In 2006, the Trust purchased the horses, stables and other agricultural buildings together with 185 acres of land from HM Prison Service. New buildings required to enable the Trust to deliver all its objectives will be phased in over a period of five years as funds become available.

Many donors to the appeal fund have expressed the desire to be more closely involved with this exciting project. We hope that by launching 'The Friends of the Suffolk Punch Trust' members of the public will take the opportunity to help us achieve our aims and preserve this important stud.

'Friends' receive regular updates on the Trust's progress and ,when the visitor attraction is open, concessions will be introduced.

The 'Friends' annual subscription is £20 and we hope you will decide to join us. An application form can be obtained by clicking on the link below. Please print off this form, complete it and return it, duly signed, to the address shown, together with the completed bank standing order form.

I look forward to welcoming you as a 'Friend'
